We are excited to partner with Peloton on the launch of Repowered, a marketplace for their Members to sell and easily upgrade their Peloton equipment with confidence.
Repowered enables Members nationwide to list and sell their used Peloton equipment and accessories seamlessly through an online marketplace, making the buying and selling process as convenient and trustworthy as possible for both parties. Repowered was previously available in beta, beginning in June, in Boston, New York, and the D.C. metro area, where more than 400 equipment listings were created and over three dozen purchases were completed. And today, it is available to any member within the U.S.
Repowered extends the brand’s commitment to empowering current and future Members with choice. As part of the seller experience, Archive offers suggested pricing guidance based on market trends and the condition of the equipment, while allowing the Member to choose the final listing price. Members who sell their equipment not only earn cash back but also receive a discount on their next Peloton equipment purchase.
On the purchasing side, buyers receive a discount on Peloton’s activation fee for used equipment and will, in the near future, have the option to add a seamless delivery service (delivery is currently available for customers in the Boston, New York, and the D.C. metro area). Equipment listings also include Peloton’s History Summary, which provides details such as usage, service history, and warranty information. Importantly, a buyer protection policy protects all purchases made on the marketplace, ensuring a secure and worry-free buying experience.
By launching a branded resale experience, Peloton enables buyers to more easily find quality, second-hand Peloton equipment for sale within their local communities. This initiative not only makes premium Peloton equipment more accessible, but also aligns with Peloton's ongoing efforts to promote a more circular economy for their products and reduce environmental impact, providing a way for their community to join them in contributing to a sustainable future.
To support the buying and selling of bulky, secondhand products, Archive built a custom interface that allows buyers to search locally for available products, with options for local pickup or delivery. Buyers can chat with and ask questions of sellers and coordinate pick up.
