We are excited to partner with New Balance to expand Reconsidered, the brand’s resale program, to include apparel. This expansion comes as the platform celebrates its two-year anniversary and builds on strong customer engagement since launch.
Since launching, Reconsidered has helped recirculate nearly 100,000 pairs of shoes, giving customers access to pre-owned New Balance footwear while extending the life of some of the brand’s most popular styles. With the addition of apparel, the program now offers an even broader selection of New Balance products through resale, and builds on the business's tremendous growth over teh past two years.
"Reconsidered has been an impactful platform for New Balance consumers to access popular, like-new or gently worn styles while helping to extend the life of our footwear," said Tracy Knauer, Vice President of North America Marketing and DTC. "We've seen an influx of new customers come to us through Reconsidered, so we're excited to continue offering them even more options through our expansion into the apparel category."
Through Reconsidered, customers can shop pre-owned New Balance footwear and apparel, including consumer returns and cosmetically imperfect products that cannot be sold as new. All items are cleaned and inspected before being made available for resale.
Customers can also trade in gently worn New Balance shoes through the program by mailing them in or dropping them off at more than 100 participating retail locations. In exchange, they receive a voucher toward their next purchase at NewBalance.com.
The expansion into apparel reflects the continued growth of the program and New Balance’s investment in building a long-term resale ecosystem for its products.
The New Balance Reconsidered resale experience is powered by Archive, with cleaning, fulfillment, and warehousing made possible by Tersus Solutions.
